    PeeWee AA Tryout

Newton and Surrey Canadian will once again be combining forces to form a AA Spring/Summer team at the Pee Wee level this year.  If you're interested in trying out for this team, we will be holding three tryout sessions later this month.

The first session will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at the Sullivan Heights Secondary gym from 7-9 PM. Address is 6248 144 St .

The second session will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at the MB Sanford Elementary gym from 8-10 PM. Address is 7318 143 St.

The third session will be held on Wednesday, January 24th at the Lionel Courchene batting cage from 6:00-7:30 PM. Address is 9900 154 St, Surrey.

Although we recognize potential conflicts with other activities, all participants are encouraged to attend these sessions to enable the coaches to properly evaluate each player. Once these evaluations are complete, selected players will then be invited for the remaining winter clinics. The final team will be announced March 1 , 2018.

Attire: We will be doing lots of physical activity, so please wear light, athletic clothing (shorts ok).  No cleats indoors of course, so please wear runners with non-marking soles.  Jocks/ cups and jills are optional, but not required.  Otherwise, please bring a full water bottle, helmet, glove and bat.

    Bantam AA Tryouts

Surrey and Newton Canadian Baseball Associations will be combing this year to offer a Bantam AA program. This is a single season (Spring and Summer combined) program for 15U players interested in playing at a higher level.

If you are interested in trying out for this team, we will be holding two tryout sessions January 25, 2018 and January 30, 2018. These sessions will be open tryouts and will conclude with a short-list of players invited back to continue with winter workouts before a final team roster is announced on March 1, 2018. Although we recognize potential conflicts with other activities, all interested players are encouraged to attend both tryout sessions to enable the coaches to properly evaluate each player. Players selected to continue with the Bantam AA program will be notified via phone call/email.

Tryout Session -1 Thursday January 25, 2018 at the MB Sanford Elementary gym (7318 143 Street, Surrey,) from 8:00 - 9:00 PM.

Tryout Session -2 Tuesday January 30, 2018 at the Lionel Courchene Batting Cage (9900 154 Street, Surrey) from 6:00-7:30 PM.

If are planning to attend the tryouts please email Bruce Lawson @ sblawson@telus.net to sign-up. For insurance purposes, players from Surrey and Newton should be registered for spring baseball with their organizations and are still eligible for early bird discounts if applicable. Final registration fees for Bantam AA will be communicated once the team is selected.

Attire: Please wear light, athletic clothing or baseball practice clothes runners with non-marking soles (No Cleats inside).  Jocks/cups and jills are required.  Please bring a water bottle, helmet, glove and bat.

Note: Players from outside the Surrey and Newton catchments are encouraged to tryout but must have permission from their home association.
