Message from Umpire in Chief
I would like to welcome Umpires to the 2007 season. My name is Andrew Knight and
I am the Umpire in Chief for Newton Baseball. I bring
7 years of experience to Newton in regards to Umpiring and I look forward to
passing this experience on to the umpires of Newton Baseball Association. I am
a Level 3 certified Umpire with BCBUA. My commitment is to bring a professional
approach to the umpiring of baseball games in Newton.
This year we will be holding a Umpire Clinic clinic on Saturday March 31
from 9:00AM to 1:00PM at Kinvig School. The cost will be $25.00 to attend.
This Clinic is for all Umpires age 10 and up, although anyone interested in
refreshing their knowledge of umpiring and the rules are welcome.
Remember that Umpires get paid to umpire games! This year we are looking at
increasing the amount you get paid in the Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam Divisions.
You are paid cash after the game you have umpired.

at 3.00 pm on Diamond 1 at Unwin Park
This is for all Umpires that weren't able to make the Mar 31 Clinic.
Cost is $25.00 and upon completion,
you will recieve a Hat, Shirt and Ballbag.
