Updated PHO order regarding to vaccinations – November 3, 2021

Hello Newton Baseball Families,

Just wanted to keep you informed on the letter we have received from BC Minor Baseball:

“BCMBA Members,BCMBA wants to forward an update received from Baseball BC and ViaSport based on the update on the BC Provincial Health Order related to vaccinations released last Tuesday.

It appears as though the new order has updated language surrounding vaccination requirements for “Support Personal” at any event.

Baseball BC since last week waited for viaSport to update their Return to Play (RTP) chart based on the provincial government messaging before anything formal was to be sent out to baseball organizations in BC so there is no miscommunications or misunderstandings.

Below is the message received from Baseball BC today to its members. This is a provincial government directive that is filtering down to sport organizations through ViaSport then onto Baseball BC.

As noted below Baseball BC along with BCMBA will do our best to support our members through this updated government directive. BCMBA does also understand quite well the pressures of this announcement internally within all LSO in regards to volunteers and what may greatly affect any off-season programming.

Thank you,
